Sunday Cycle 22nd April

The weather man wasn’t playing ball last week, so it might be nice to try Catherine’s great routes in some nicer conditions this week. Forecast is for cloudy, 10-12deg, with a gentle westerly.

The groups will split at city hall by ability (and depending on numbers), please seed yourself accordingly and ensure you are in the correct group for maximum enjoyment!

Group 1: Shorter route: average pace 23-24km/hr (Ride leader: Mark Hartnett)
Group 2: Intermediate 1: average pace 24-26km/hr
Group 3: Intermediate 2: average pace 26-28km/hr
Group 4: Fast/longer: average pace 28km/hr+

All guests must sign the sign-in sheet for insurance purposes.

All participants must read and comply with our cycling code of conduct.

If you have a Garmin bike computer, you should be able to login to your garmin connect account, and open the above link(s), and press ‘send to device’, choose your device name, and then sync via the garmin express application (or the connect mobile app, if it has bluetooth). The route should then appear as a course available to run on the computer.

If you want to update the default maps on a garmin 520, for example, this is a good guide. Caveat Emptor, could break your device if you don’t do this correctly, so take care.
