We have to change location again this week because of the issues with losing the light. We are going to try out the greenway/walkway between the Carraigrohane Straight Road and the Model Farm Road. This walkway is a completely tarmaced surface and has overhead lighting. We will meet at the small carpark about half way along the Straight Road, here. There should be parking in the carpark at that time of the evening, it is also a good location for anyone who wants to run to the session.

The session will be a simple set of repeat 5 minute tempo intervals with 2 minute easy recovery jog.
Session
Easy warm up along the walkway to familiarize everyone with the location
4 x strides
5 x 5 minutes at tempo with 2 minutes easy recovery jog
Cool Down jog back to carpark
To some extent this will be an experimental session to test out the suitability of the location. On a more positive note I have been invited to an on-line meeting about the availability of the UCC track so I should have some more information at the session on Wednesday evening.
A few things to be aware of for the session; there will be other users of the walkway, it is popular with dog walkers and just walkers so we need to be careful and respectful of the other users. We will need to run the session no more than two abreast on the path rather than a large cavalry charge taking up all the space. when overtaking or meeting other users please give them personal space , a hoard of runners coming towards you can be a bit intimidating
Meet across the road from the carpark pictured above, there are pedestrian traffic lights at the carpark, at 6:30pm sharp ready to run. The location will not be as safe for leaving personal belongings so we may need to put stuff in some of the cars of those who drive there, Ill have my car.
