When we had the UCC track available, periodically during the season we ran a 5km TT on the track. As we are now based in the regional park in Ballincollig we are going to continue the practice by having a TT, we will use the route of the Ballincollig Park Run. See the route here.
It is necessary to register for the event this week, so please register here.
We could also do with 4-5 marshals for the event as there are a few junctions and some people might not be too familiar with the route.
It is also important to remember that there will be other park users on Wednesday evening, please be aware of these other users the fact that you are running a time trial does not give you any right-of-way over these other users. Many of the others are dog walkers and may have dogs on long leads so don’t trip. No shouting at people to get out of your way! be polite and considerate.
Please make yourself known on the club WhatsApp if you can help with marshalling.
The TT will start at 7:00pm sharp so everybody should meet in the carpark by the Ballincollig Community Allotments, this is right by the start.
