Thanks to Noel for taking on the session last week. Similar session this week, one long block and a series of shorter ones. Numbers are holding up well so hopefully we can keep that going.

Warm up
Easy run from the Straight Road to the business park via the Curraheen river walkway or get to the business park a little early and do a warm up lap there
6 x 60m strides
5 minutes at tempo pace with 2.5 minutes easy jog recovery
5 x 3 minutes at tempo with 1.5 minutes easy recovery jog
Cool down
Easy run back to the Straight Road (if you started from there) via Farranlea park

The Wednesday run sessions are a really good introduction to group running. It is an ideal way to get to know more members of the club. The session is also a great introduction to interval running if some of the newer athletes haven’t done this before. The usual meeting arrangements; at 6:30pm at the carpark at the city side of the Kingsley Hotel opposite the new Bean and Leaf Cafe in the Crow’s Nest student accommodation. Alternatively head straight to the Business and Technology Park on the Model Farm Road for 6:50pm, maybe try to get there a little earlier even and get a warm up lap in!
