We are up to the last session before we take a bit of a break in the club runs until after Christmas. Of course this doesn’t mean you can’t run on your own or with a few friends, I can post some suggested sessions over the break. For the first time since the COVID restrictions we will have the “Hot Port Run”. So a normal session as posted below but at the end of the run we will adjourn to a pub for a drink. We used to go to the Rendezvous but this is now closed so we will go to the Model Farm Pub and Restaurant, formerly the Tennis Village and/or Mccarthy’s. Just aware that some people will be driving so they serve tea, coffee and soft drinks as well. The club is not paying for the drinks so bring some money or a card with you.
Usual meeting arrangements, at 6:30pm at the carpark on the city side of the Kingsley Hotel or alternatively at the first roundabout inside the Business and Technology Park on the Model Farm Road at 6:50pm.
Session
Easy run from the Straight Road via walkway to the business park or alternatively get to the business park a little early and get a warmup lap in
6 x 60m strides
6 minutes at tempo with 3 minutes easy jog recovery
4 x 3 minutes with 1.5 minutes easy jog recovery
6 minutes at tempo
Easy jog to the pub

Try to wear some kind of simple lighting or some Hi-Viz clothing. It will be very cold so wrap-up well, something that can be taken off for the tempo set and put back on after, hat and gloves recommended!
