CTC AGM 18th November

The club AGM will be held at the Maldron Hotel South Mall on Friday November 18th at 8pm. The room has a limit of 60 people. Similar to last years AGM we plan on broadcasting a live zoom call for those that cannot attend in person. The AGM should last approximately 1 hour.

Committee Roles: Similar to previous years, we will not look for committee nominations on the night. Instead, we ask members to express their interest to the club secretary in advance. A full list of committee positions with descriptions can be found here.

This year several important committee roles will become vacant. Many of our current committee members have spent several years working in various roles and good governance ensures that new members are given the opportunity to take on these roles and provide fresh energy and ideas to the club.

  • Club Social Media officer/PRO
  • Social Committee (2)
  • Lost Sheep Race Director
  • KOTH Assistant Race Director
  • Sunday Cycle Coordinator
  • Junior Coordinator

If you are interested in taking up one of these positions or would like to know more about what is involved in the role please e-mail admin@corktri.com and the existing officer will be happy to explain what is involved. Certain roles do require skill sets such at the Web Administrator and Treasurer roles but plenty of support will be provided. The club is run on a volunteer bases with no paid positions. Everyone involved is also an active athlete.   The main committee meets once per month via Zoom.

Motions: Any proposed change to the Constitution by a member must be received by the Chairperson or Secretary at least [8] days prior to the date of the AGM in order that members shall have sufficient notice of the proposal.  At the discretion of the Chairperson, amendments not submitted at least [8] days prior to the AGM, may be proposed by any member present at the AGM and voted upon. Please advise by e-mail to admin@corktri.com any motions/proposals/resolution you wish to have discussed/voted upon at the meeting.
