Hoping to go to the UCC Farm this week after the aborted attempt last week. We will stick with the same arrangements, meeting inside the main gate at 7:00pm, come ready to run. The session will follow a similar format to the winter runs as we will run at tempo for a time with 50% of the tempo time as an easy jog for recovery. This will probably be the last week that we will be able to meet at 7:00pm because of fading light in the evenings, if we have to change we will post it on next week’s notice. We will do the session in the “far” field.
Easy warm up
5 x 4 minutes at tempo with 2 minute recovery jog
Easy run back to the main gate as cool down
Because of the format the session will be suitable for all levels. To make the session more group oriented I’m suggesting that the leaders turn and do their recovery jog back towards the back markers, it means that we should be starting as a group for all of the intervals. For anyone who doesn’t know the UCC Sports Grounds, they are just off the Curraheen road towards the Greyhound Stadium, here. The entrance where we will meet is marked with the pin SmartIT Expert (no idea why!)
