Are you lost? You need to be a Lost Sheep Marshal.
The Lost Sheep 2022 takes place in 5 weeks – Saturday 03 Sept 2022.
A few years ago, when I was race director for the Lost Sheep, my phone was forwarded to my office and a colleague took a call destined for me from a Kenmare Garda. The Garda said that he was ringing about “The Lost Sheep” in Kenmare. My colleague was mystified, and not being the sheep rustling type, said that he didn’t know anything about any sheep whatsoever and certainly not about ones that were missing in Kenmare. There was a brief pause and the Garda said that it was a famous triathlon. “Ohhh…”
The Lost Sheep is an amazing race and we need your help and 90 marshals to safely run the event. Thank you if you’ve marshalled at a Cork Tri event already this year and please consider marshalling the Lost Sheep as well. If you haven’t marshalled (and I know a man who knows who you are 😊), then now is your chance to clear your conscience and to get involved – we will also take wives, husbands, sons, daughters, family and friends in exchange.
Lost Sheep Marshals will get free accommodation for the weekend and food and a few drinks on the Saturday. Any leftover goodie bags will be raffled off amongst the marshals. It’s a great weekend and not to be missed.
