Back to 800s again this week. The session last week was really good with a noticeable increase in intensity across all 4 groups with the times coming down when compared to previous rounds, hopefully we can keep that up. The session will be 6 x 800m with a 400m easy recovery jog. I know this gets repeated often but with group training like this it is difficult to keep up with what races people are doing; so remember to balance race preparation and race recovery during the session. A hard session should be ok with a race on the following Sunday but you might need to reduce the volume for a Saturday race. Similarly if you had a long race (half distance or more) you might need more recovery only you can judge.
