
Triathlon Irelands Tri day is set for 8th May at the Sports Ireland Campus Dublin. They will be celebrating the 2021 season, launching the 2022 season and hosting two swim-run events! Full details can be found here
Central to the day will be the awards for the 2021 season. At the outdoor Tri-Day Marquee, they will be awarding all of the awards like Club of the Year, Race of the Year, Spirit of Triathlon, Volunteer of the Year, Technical Official of the Year and Club Coach of the Year. Alongside this, athletes will be able to pick up their National Series and National Championship Age Group and Overall Medals.
They are also running Two aquathlon events at the 50m National Aquatic Center on the morning of 8th May. Starting at 10.15am with a Kid’s Splash and Dash, a fun aquathlon event for Under 16’s.
There is also a Club event where triathlon clubs around the country go head to head. Teams of three from each club can take part. Clubs can enter as many teams as they like. Teams can be three men, three women, or any combination. Athletes will cover approximately a 150m swim and 2km run course before tagging in the next athlete. Cost is €10 and money raised goes to An Saol – a Charity founded by the families, friends, and supporters of persons affected by Severe Acquired Brain Injury.
If any CTC members are interested in taking part and representing CTC at either the Splash and Dash or Club Aquathons please enter you name, event type (Junior or Adult) and contact details in the form here. Juniors must be accompanied by an Adult/Guardian. We will look at putting teams together and If we have enough interest we will consider arranging transport.
