
The second video from Fiona takes a closer look at meeting carbohydrate requirements. Fuelling activity can be addressed more closely in our live. But we need to ensure that we are meeting our ’nutrition’ needs (micronutrients vs just energy) as well as our energy needs. How do our carb choices effect our health, and how does fibre impact our health and performance. Advice on carbohydrate is very varied and what works for one individual won’t work for another – so be sure to consider this when following guidelines. Protein has more defined advice – we look at how much protein we need from either a plant based or omnivorous diet. While we can look at the guidelines, we also need to understand how we can apply this to a real life scenario.
