Bit of a change to the run arrangements this week. Noel O’Regan will be starting the “New to Track” sessions on Wednesday and also the normal track session will take place at the same time (7:00pm). Instead of holding the Tramore Valley Park run on Wednesday and having three running sessions at the same time, the TVP run will shift to Monday evenings at 7:00pm. For all of the sessions you must register in advance at the links below, no substitutions allowed and it is for members only.
So the normal track session at the Sonia O’Sullivan Track in the UCC Sports Grounds on the Mardyke at 7:00pm will be 12 x 400m with a 200m recovery jog. Meet outside the track barrier at about 5 minutes before the session. Try to get some warm-up before 7 so we can get straight into the set. Please try to maintain social distancing while waiting for the session to start. Register here.
Noel will also take the “New to Track” people at the same time on a different part of the track. Meet at the same place, point D on the photograph and the same time. Registration is in the same location as the standard track session, here. The set for week one will be 4 x 800m. For any newcomers there is very limited parking inside the Mardyke unless a member of the Mardyke Arena.
As we said above to avoid having three club run sessions on at the same time the Tramore Valley Park run is going to shift to Monday evenings, so members could potentially take in a track session and the park run. These sessions will start next Monday 24th August at 7:00pm, first session will be 2 x 2km on the old Park Run course. Meet at the Weighbridge just inside the South Link Road entrance. Register here.
