Not sure if people have been tracking the approaching weather but hurricane Lorenzo is headed our way and due to hit on Thursday. As swimming round Sandycove in a hurricane might be a bit extreme we are changing the day/date to Wednesday 2nd October (this coming Wednesday). Everything else as per the original posting, meeting at the slip between 7:45pm and 8:00pm with a plan to be in the water by 8:15pm. The club will supply glow sticks and there will be soup and chat back in the Trident Hotel after.
We will still have to make a safety call at the slip on the evening (stay inside or venture out). Group safety will be the absolute prime consideration. On previous night swims a few people elected to stay inside, I would expect the the same this year
