The weather for Sunday looks like it will be dry but very cold so for anyone going out, layer up well. Breeze will be very light and from west/north west. Suggesting the following route, out to Coachford on the R618, taking a right in Coachford onto the R619 and from there into Donoughmore. After Donoughmore down the steep drop into New Tipperary, the main route (80km) takes a left there on into Bweeng and from there down into Blarney. The full route can be seen here: For those that want a slightly shorter route there is the option of turning right at New Tipperary down the Shournach Valley and into Blarney from the Tower Road. The beginners will be led this week by Hilary Creedon and Garvan McCarthy. This is a possible option for the beginner spin but this will be up to the leaders on the day! Beginners should arrive a little early and make themselves know to Martin Bohane, Steve Evans or John Cunningham. Beginners who are not members of the club (yet) should sign a guest sheet. Again for beginners, wrap up well (proper cycling gear if possible), bring some water or energy drink and something to eat like a banana or an energy bar. Also everyone should have a couple of spare tubes. Expect the beginner spin to be about 40-50km. Everyone meet at 9:00am at City Hall. The normal coffee option on these routes is Blarney Woollen Mills.
