So the outdoor season has kicked off with Carlow at the weekend and continues with Lough Cutra next weekend. At this time of the year it is important that everyone manages their own race preparation and race recovery. This is particularly important if the race is on the Saturday and not the Sunday. Each athlete should have some idea of what suits them best in terms of tapering for a race. Equally everyone should have an idea of where they are with race recovery. It is perfectly OK for people to do a reduced set on the Wednesday in preparation or recovery.
The set this week is 6 x 800m with 400m recovery jog.

As usual the session will start at 7:00pm after St Finbarr’s finish up. The session is suitable for all levels as we divide into groups of more or less equal ability. The group who just finished up Noel’s new to track are especially welcome. Please register for the session here on EventBrite.
