The club caters for all abilities, if you are just starting out, then get consistent with your training, work to build up fitness and distance, ideally you would be able to run for 20mins, bike for an hour and swim a few lengths of the pool without stopping. From there, anything can happen, bu YOU are the one who has to put in the hard work! So get involved, get started and we look forward to meeting you!

While we don’t have in-person training right now, there are a wealth of training and connection activities ongoing from the club and from Triathlon Ireland, if you are eager to get going, there’s plenty on offer, here’s a few of the training/club activities that are available virtually (turbo

Training plans to keep you focused, these plans were used in previous years and focused on specific races – take a look, they will provide good insight into the types of training Triathletes would typically be doing and how best to structure your weekly training.

Membership for Cork Triathlon Club (CTC) is available through Triathlon Ireland.  Choose what type of licence (Race/Training) and select Cork TC as the club. Membership cost to join TI is detailed here (depends on which licence) and covers insurance, membership of Cork Tri costs €60. Membership of Cork tri is required to train with the club. Membership to the club allows you to participate in regular club training sessions, entry to CTC seminars and subsidised training at organised training events. Members actively participating in club run events get a return of multiples of the membership fee in subsidies for training and coaching as well as free organised sessions. There is also a great social element to the club with a very active social committee organising social/training weekends away, activities around designated club “away” races and local social events around Cork. There’s a wealth of experience within the club, a fantastic cohesion between clubmates and of course, there might be a little competitive rivalry on occasion!
