We’re back! With the further loosening of the Covid 19 restrictions we are going to trial some run sessions starting next Wednesday June 17th. Usually at this time of year we would be on the track at UCC but unfortunately this is not yet opened so we are going to try the Tramore Valley Park off the Link Road.
There is still a restriction on the numbers that can attend, this is 15 in any one group. To facilitate numbers we are planning on two groups doing completely separate sessions. Preregistration is essential, separate registrations for each session, no swapping between sessions or no substitutions.
Event registrations will be on Eventbrite, links below. The plan is to have a speed session (Coach: Brendan O’Neill) on the playing pitches by the car park and a hill session (Coach: Trevor Mahoney) on the hill in the centre of the park. There is a risk assessment on the club Google Drive.
We need to keep the groups completely separate and observe social distancing prior to, during and after the session. The speed session group will meet at the carpark furthest away from the entrance/admin buildings. The hill session will meet near the weighbridge building by the entrance/admin buildings. Please travel separately unless already cohabiting. Keep social distance as you gather, be very aware of other park users, give them space. Sessions will start at 7:00pm to about 8:00pm. There is plenty of car parking space, for anyone cycling bring a secure lock. You cannot turn right off the Link Road to the park you must approach from Mick Barry road (the one with the Black Ash Park and Ride entrance).
