Not long now, to the restart of the CTC TT League.
From May to August the club organises a cycle Time Trial (8.6 mile/13.8 km) on Tuesday nights in Glounthaune on the route as detailed here. It is run over a relatively flat, out and back, course and it is suitable for all including beginners and elite athletes alike – it’s just you against yourself & the clock. There is an option of a run afterwards, making it an excellent brick session. Participants are required to help out with timekeeping and a league is organised for a proportion of these weeks.
The first TT will be held on Tuesday, 1st May at 7 pm sharp, near Cobh Cross, adjacent to Ballyseedy Garden Centre. They will continue to be held every Tuesday until the end of August. Three timekeepers are required each week for timekeeping.
Please contact Ciaran O’ Callaghan (email: email@example.com: / text: 086 6820508) or Keith Fortune (email: keith.fortune@hotmail.
The time trials are open to current members of CTC and Triathlon Ireland (Associate or full) OR members of Cycling Ireland. Hard Shell helmets must be worn. Drafting will disqualify.
