Big group again last week, great to see the numbers turning up. The weather looks like it will be much improved as opposed to the misty evening last Wednesday. Season is approaching fast, so people need to start increasing the intensity little by little. Last week was a mixed distance run, this week will be straight 800s. Just 5 x 800m with a longer recovery to enable the intensity in the 800. The track sessions are suitable for all levels, the session usually resolves itself into groups of about equal ability. The session starts at 7:00pm on the Sonia O’Sullivan track in the UCC grounds on the Mardyke. There will be no St Finbarr’s AC before us this week because of the T&F League out at CIT. Very limited parking in the grounds unless you are a member of the Mardyke Arena, there is some on-street parking or parking on the Straight Road.
