Training Weekend, Kenmare - 23rd Mar 2018

A great weekend of training has been planned for 2018 kicking off on Friday March 23 rd down in
Kenmare a month later than usual which will give us a possibly brighter evening to enjoy our first run
with some drills and for those who would enjoy a bite of food after, this will be arranged.

On Saturday morning, the beginner athletes will receive coaching from Gary Cummins about group
cycling and advice for triathlon transition. The more experienced athletes will do a brick session
involving a hill rep focussed cycle followed by an hours run. In the afternoon, Gary will do further
coaching on bike handling/transition for all athletes. In the late afternoon, there will be a one hour
Pilates session with Lisa Staplebroek but don’t worry, plenty time has been factored in to allow for
lunch and afternoon snacking!!

Saturday evening will bring some rewards with a tasty 3 course meal (including coeliac options) in
Dromquina Manor, time to luxuriate in their gin bar followed by drinkies in the establishments of

And so Sunday will kick off early as the clocks change that morning and there will be options of long
bike ride/trail run or local run depending on the appetite for each followed by lunch to round off
what promises to be an excellent weekend that everyone can participate in and enjoy.

There is currently a limit of 30 places available for the weekend.

The fee for the whole weekend including accommodation in Orchard Grove houses,
Saturday evening dinner and all coaching will be €80.
