Back to kilometers again this week, 5 x 1000m, with 600m recovery jog. As usual at this time of year members have to balance race recovery with race preparation. Anyone who did Schull on Saturday should be well recovered, anyone racing this coming weekend should probably reduce the volume from 5k to maybe 4 x 800m. Meet at the usual time of 7:00pm at the Sonia O’Sullivan track on the UCC grounds at the Mardyke. The sessions are suitable for all levels from podium aspirants to beginners.
