The annual club training weekend in Kenmare is fast approaching and our committee members have put together a package for the weekend that should appeal to all members. The training schedule runs from the evening of Friday 24th through to lunchtime on Sunday 26th and includes: a tempo run, coaching on group cycling etiquette, long group ride including a coached beginners cycle, coached core session, sea swim and a trail run. Outside of this there is time set aside for the Ire v Fra rugby match on Saturday evening and a meal together later that night.
For new members the weekend affords the opportunity to get to know their club mates a bit better. There will be a mixture of structured and coached training on offer, providing a great learning opportunity for newbies.
There may be some existing club members whose training hasn’t really got going yet. This weekend provides the perfect opportunity to kickstart training and shake out some cobwebs. There will be groupings of different abilities and everyone should be able to find a level that will challenge them and get them motivated for the year.
The cost to members for this weekend package is €75 per person. This includes two nights accommodation in shared self-catering houses, coaching from Anthony O’ Brien (cycling) and Mike Peterson (core), structured training sessions, dinner on the Saturday night and guaranteed craic 😉
There is a limited number of accommodation spaces so don’t leave it too late to REGISTER.
