Cork Tri AGM

CTC_Logo_200_200There was a really disappointing turnout at the club AGM on Friday evening (Nov 4th).  Nineteen people showed up from a membership of close to 250.  There were quite a few people who sent apologies because they could not attend for perfectly legitimate reasons.  Quite a few of the people who sent apologies offered to remain in posts which they have held on one or more of the various committees, this is very much appreciated.  Also the demographic of the club membership has changed over the last few years with quite a few members now having young families which makes the logistics of getting out in the evening significantly more difficult. Even taking this into account the attendance was very poor.  A number of people stepped back or stood down from positions on the various committees that are needed to run the club, put on the races and organise the many activities, winter and summer, that make the club what it is.    I would  sincerely like to thank all those who have served the club in any capacity on any of the committees, organising or coordinating the many club activities over the years.

Brendan (Outgoing Chairman)
