Wednesday runs are back on. Taking advantage of the last of the evening light by running on the walkway behind the playing pitches on the Straight Road, onto the continuation of the walkway behind CIT through Murphy’s Farm looping through Curraheen housing estate and back on to the walkway. The total distance is 11.8km. There will be a shorter option of about 8km. Some of the runners will be stronger (and faster) and will do the longer route. The shorter run will be ideal for someone at the beginner level (but with some level of run fitness). The map of the long route can be seen here. The shorter route loops at Murphy’s Farm past the Bishopstown Tennis Club, and back on the same route. Meet at the earlier time of 6:30pm at the car park at the city end of the Carraigrohane Straight Road (City side of the Kingsley Hotel). There are a number of carparks in the vicinity so parking is not a problem. There will be no warm-up routine be ready to run at 6:30pm we don’t hang around for latecomers. If you need a warm-up/stretch come a little early.
