The track is closed this week because of a hockey international. So the proposal is that we all go to the Blarney Running Trail. This is a great running location, a few of us went there at the end of last season and have a few great runs. The surface is great and the terrain is varied between high quality grass tracks and dirt trails. The trails are quite undulating so bit of climbing every now and then. The trail length is 3km. As usual we will split into groups as with the track and have a fartlek type session, it will be an interesting variation mid-season. It costs €3 per person to use the trail. There is a tea shop on the site so if people want to hang on and have a tea/coffee and a chat after, all the facilities are there. Also if anyone wants to cycle out, they said that we could have one of the driving bays on the driving range to store them safely while we are running. Meet at the usual time of 7:00pm, ready to run. Bring €3 to pay. For anyone who doesn’t know the location the trail is on the R617 this is the road that runs from the village to the main Cork/Limerick Road (N20) On google maps here. There is ample parking space on the site.
