Back to 800s again this week, with the option of either 5 or 6 repetitions. Again people should have a note of their previous times for the 800s and be looking for a couple of seconds improvement. Remember consistency over the set is important, trying to maintain an even pace across all of the reps rather than starting fast and winding down over the course of the set. It is also not great to try to treat the last rep like a race spread, the effort evenly across the entire set. Usual format for the set; easy jog warm-up, dynamic stretch, strides, main set and cool down. Session starts at 7:00pm on the Sonia O’Sullivan track at the UCC grounds on the Mardyke.
