Sunday Cycle March 8th with Beginners Cycle

Cycle_toonRoute this week is the one we didn’t use last week because of the inclement weather, out the old Dublin Road to just short of Rathcormac then taking a right turn onto the R626 back towards Midleton.  From Midleton on to a the small country road that runs parallel to the main road and comes out at the entrance to the Fota Golf club (The main road can be dangerous).  The route is about 70km long shows as 67km on the map but the map route finishes just at Dunkettle.  Option for coffee towards the end in Ballyseedy. There will be a beginner cycle as well they will head to Kinsale from the Half-Way roundabout.  The beginner cycle will be led by Val Vaughan and Kieran Kennedy. Just on the beginners, the beginner cycles have been put on by request.  For the last few weeks the beginner numbers have been very low, one week no one turned up.  The more experienced cyclists are giving up their long spin to accompany the newcomers.  If the numbers stay very low we may have to review the logistics of asking people to give up their training session to lead these! The weather on Sunday morning promises to be a bit better than recent weeks, meet at the usual time of 9:00am at City Hall.  Steve Evans will be organising on his own on Sunday so we would appeal to beginners to try to get there a bit early
