Every year Cork Tri holds a fun Christmas cycle where members at all levels are encouraged to turn up wearing Christmas gear and if inclined to decorate their bikes. There are spins of various distances to suit everyone but all meet back at a common location for coffee and cake. The club will pay for coffee and scones but everyone is asked to make a contribution to Cork Simon. This year more than any previously we have heard of the increasing problem of homelessness and how the numbers are increasing drastically because of cutbacks made during the recession, services are at the limit trying to cope. We are encouraging all members to attend and contribute as generously as possible. The Saturday people will hopefully join us as well. The route will be some where out east Cork direction with the coffee stop planned for Ballyseedy Garden Centre. So normal cycles this Saturday and Sunday but the week after, dig out the Santa hats and fairy lights and support this really fun cycle and very worthy cause.
