Great day down in Kinsale for the King of the Hill sprint distance triathlon, even the weather cooperated as it always seems to for this event. All of the comments back from athletes have been positive and complimentary. Well done to the Kinsale committee, all of the club members who helped out on the day and on Friday evening. Also thanks to quite a few non-club members who helped in no small way. Big thanks to our sponsors. Congratulations to Trevor Woods who took what turns out to be his 10th KOH title, well done to Deirdre Casey who won the womens event. Dave Richardson was second in the mens event with Junior Rory Sexton in third overall. With Rory in third place Aichlinn O’Reilly took the Junior prize. Andree Walkin took second in the women’s race with Jenifer O’Connell third.
